Aerosol Generator V2 systems provide highly effective, environmentally friendly fire suppression in enclosed facilities and local spaces. The effectiveness of the V2 aerosol generator is a function of its patented design, unique chemical composition, and the ultra-fine particles produced. Aerosol Generator V2 produces an aerosol stream that is non-toxic and non-corrosive.

Aerosol Generator V2 is an improved version of Aerosol Generator V1 with faster linear burn rates, increased fire extinguishing concentration and composition density, lower toxicity levels, improved breaking strength, and a more reliable ignition system.
Representing a significant advancement over alternative agents and earlier generation aerosol technology, V2 generators require none of the pressure vessels, pipe work, and extensive installation manpower associated with Halon, carbon dioxide, dry chemical, and Halon replacement systems. V2 systems dramatically reduce installation cost and are virtually maintenance free with a guaranteed shelf life of more than ten years.
V2 generators are self-contained units composed of a solid-state charge and cooling blocks that is not pressurized until activated. When activated, V2 generators produce an aerosol of ultra-fine particles that are dispersed under pressure. The patented agent in V2 generators is potassium-based and five times more effective than Halon and ten times more effective than Halon replacements.
The aerosol produced by V2 generators has flow characteristics similar to gaseous agents and remains suspended in air for an extended period of time, providing a hold time of up to one hour. The primary suppression mechanism of the aerosol is chemical interference with free radicals of flame that interrupts the propagation of fire. The secondary mechanisms include dilution of flammable medium with inert gasses and cooling. The combined results are very rapid suppression with minimal amount of agent.
Aerosol Generator V2 systems are environmentally friendly, non-toxic with levels similar to Halon 1301, and non-corrosive. The aerosol will have not harm electronic equipment or magnetic tapes. Cleanup is easy as the aerosol can generally be quickly vented from the space.
